심원섭 담임목사
Rev. Wonsub Shim, Senior Pastor
심원섭 목사는 2017년 11월 이래로 신시내티 중앙장로교회(이하 KCPC)를 담임하고 있습니다. 그는 서강대학교 경영학과(B.B.A)를 졸업하고 대한항공 본사 여객사업본부에서 근무하다가 목회자로서의 부르심을 받아 총신대학교 신학대학원(M.Div)에서 학위를 한 후 목사 안수를 받았습니다.
이후 그는 미국으로 이주하여 2017년 11월까지 루이빌 새한장로교회(PCA, 한인중부노회)에서 청년 및 EM을 담당하였고, 신시내티로 담임목회의 부름을 받았습니다. 부임 당시 KCPC는 재적 6명의 청년들로 구성되어 있었으나 하나님의 은혜로 교회는 이제 온 세대를 품게 되었습니다. 그의 사명은 (1) '그리스도'께서 주인이 되시는 교회를 (2) 사랑과 진리로 공동체가 '함께' 세워 (3) 경내에 그리스도의 '빛'을 비추는 것입니다.
심원섭 목사는 조지은 사모의 남편이자 세 아이의 아빠이며, 그의 취미는 목공과 요리입니다. 그는 현재 Southern Baptist Theological Seminary의 설교학 Ph.D 과정에 있으며, 연구 주제는 '그리스도 중심적 설교'입니다.
Rev. Wonsub Shim has been serving as the senior pastor of KCPC since November 2017. He graduated from Sogang University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) and worked at the headquarters of Korean Air's Passenger Business Division before being called to ministry. Afterward, he pursued his degree at Chongshin Theological Seminary (M.Div) and was ordained as a pastor.
Subsequently, he immigrated to the United States and served as the minister responsible for youth and EM at Korea Saehan Church of Louisville (PCA, Korean Central Presbytery) until November 2017 when he was called to serve as the senior pastor in Cincinnati. At the time of his appointment, KCPC comprised only six young members, but by God's grace, the church now encompasses all generations. His mission is to (1) establish a church where 'Christ' is the Lord, (2) build a community based on 'oneness in Christ' with love and truth, and (3) let the church shine the 'light' of Christ in the land.
Rev. Shim is the husband of his lovely wife, Jieun Cho, and the father of three children. His hobbies include woodworking and cooking. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Preaching at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, focusing his research on 'Christ-centered preaching.'
유명진 목사
Rev. David Yoo, Assistant Pastor
유명진 목사는 안양대학교 신학과를 졸업하고(B.Th, 2011), 목회자로의 부르심에 따라 총신대학교 신학대학원에서 목회학 석사(M.Div) 학위를 마쳤습니다(2016). 이후 그는 대한예수교장로회(합동)교단 서울북노회에서 목사 안수를 받았고(2017), 유학 길에 올라 Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (Charlotte, NC) 에서 MA Biblical Studies 과정을 마쳤습니다 (2021년 1월). 특별히 그는 학위를 하는 3년 동안 PCA 교단의 한인동남부노회 소속 샬롯장로교회에서 사역을 하였습니다.
유명진 목사는 KCPC의 전임(Full-time) 교역자로서 청년부와 다음세대, 소그룹과 행정 등을 담당하고 있으며, 개혁주의 신학에 기반한 목회철학으로 교회와 부서를 섬기기 원합니다. 그는 평생 공부하는 목회자가 되기를 꿈꾸며, 말씀 연구와 경건 훈련에 주된 관심을 갖고 있습니다. KCPC에서 그의 사명은 공동체가 (1) 영과 진리로 예배하고, (2) 한 마음으로 기도하고 헌신하여, (3) 하나님의 뜻을 이루는 데 도구로 사용될 수 있도록 돕는 것입니다.
유명진 목사는 서현지 사모의 남편이자 세 아이의 아빠이며, 그의 취미는 영화감상입니다.
Rev. David Yoo pursued his calling as a pastor by earning a Bachelor of Theology (B.Th) from Anyang University in 2011 and a Master of Divinity (M.Div) from Chongshin Theological Seminary in 2016. He was subsequently ordained at the Northern Seoul Presbytery of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Korea (Hap-dong) denomination in 2017. Upon moving to the U.S., he completed his MA in Biblical Studies at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (Charlotte, NC) in January 2021. During his three-year pursuit of the MA degree, he served at Charlotte Presbyterian Church, a member church of the Korean Southeastern Presbytery of the PCA denomination.
Currently, Rev. Yoo serves as a full-time assistant pastor at KCPC, overseeing the Young Adults/Children's ministry and leading Bible study groups. He is particularly committed to serving the church with a pastoral philosophy grounded in Reformed theology. He aspires to be a lifelong student of the Word and spiritual mentorship. His mission at KCPC is to (1) facilitate the church's worship in spirit and truth, (2) help the community to pray and dedicate with one heart, and (3) empower individuals to fulfill God's will.
Rev. David Yoo is married to Mrs. HyeonJi Seo and they are blessed with three wonderful children. In his leisure time, he enjoys watching movies.
